Job summary

ViaQuest, Inc. invites applications for Direct Support Professional positions in Bowling Green, OH and surrounding areas. Paid training is provided, including CPR, First Aid and Medication Administration; no prior experience is required.

You will provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes, helping them maintain health and safety while promoting independence. A reliable vehicle and valid Ohio driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and car insurance.
• Personal, reliable vehicle to transport individuals served.
• Motor Vehicle Record must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Ability to push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and to climb/balance/kneel/crouch.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities to foster independence, choice and empowerment while ensuring health and safety.
• Supervise, teach and assist individuals in all aspects of daily living.
• Complete household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean, safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.
