Job summary

ViaQuest Residential Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Ohio. The DSP will provide direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities in intermediate care facilities and their homes, with full training provided—no prior experience required.

The position offers paid training including CPR and First Aid, a full benefits package for full-time employees, paid time off, holiday pay, mileage reimbursement, annual increases and flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record Must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
• Personal vehicle to transport individuals is required

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Providing personal care assistance.
