The Arc of Cumberland and Perry Counties is hiring a full-time entry-level Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. DSPs earn a competitive wage of $17.12/hour plus an additional $1/hour shift differential. Overtime is often available. Holidays are paid at time-and-half. The full package is valued at $17,053.75 per year and provides 3 weeks of paid vacation in the first year, life insurance, long‑term disability, a retirement plan, and other voluntary benefits. A Day in the Life of a Direct Support Professional (DSP)

As a DSP you help people with disabilities achieve as much independence as possible. Your day may include household maintenance, transportation, medication administration, grocery shopping, meal preparation, personal care, and other activities of daily living. Building strong relationships and understanding each person’s unique strengths, interests, and preferences enables you to provide the best care and make a rewarding impact.

Work Schedule
