Job summary

Schneider National in Sterling, IL is seeking an entry-level general shop assistant to support diesel technicians with routine maintenance and parts stocking.

You'll perform non-technical tasks, assist higher-skilled technicians, replace lights, tires and filters, keep the shop clean, and use a computer to track work orders. Bring your own tools within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in diesel technology or related field.
• Valid driver's license and pass Schneider's DMV standards.
• Experience with computer systems.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

• Starting wages are $18.60 - $23.30 per hour based on experience.
  • Non-exempt U.S. shop associates working weekend hours, receive a $0.65 per hour differential for hours worked. (Weekend hours worked between 9pm Friday - 5am Monday).
