Job summary

Metromont LLC is seeking an entry-level Design Engineer to learn and assist with all facets of engineering design for parking structures and related building components. You will work under supervision, gain exposure to project design, and contribute to the design and detailing process.

As you gain experience, you may take on independent design tasks and participate in project meetings, ensuring compliance with Metromont standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis preferred).
• PE not required, EIT preferred.
• 0-3 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design parking deck, building, and wall products and connections.
• Design laterals with assistance.
• Independently manage design aspects with minimal guidance.
• Review contract documents to understand project requirements.
• Attend project meetings and potentially lead coordination meetings.
• Write RFIs when needed.
• Respond to drafting subcontractors’ questions.
• Check calculations and details for accuracy and adherence to Metromont standards.
• Review erection drawings and shop tickets for compliance.
• Complete repairs with assistance.
• Adhere to Metromont and OSHA safety rules.
