Job summary

Torch Technologies is hiring an Entry-Level Design Engineer/Analyst in Huntsville, AL. The role supports the Air & Missile Defense Business Unit, focusing on system and software verification, data analysis, and post-processing tool development.

Responsibilities include reviewing requirements and design docs, producing insights from analyses, and collaborating to improve architectures and algorithms. Travel up to 10% may be required; US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 0–5 years of relevant experience in design or analysis.
• Ability to evaluate software products through all life cycle phases and validate results.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review plans and reports to ensure system and software meet requirements and design specs.
• Review design, system and test documentation related to requirements and tests.
• Develop post-processing analysis tools and visualizations to evaluate system performance.
• Record and close defects found during analysis (root cause, JIRA tickets, anomalies).
• Remediate V&V results as required and collaborate with internal/external teams.
