Aspen Hill Modern Dentistry seeks a friendly Dental Assistant to join our team in Silver Spring, MD. No prior dental experience is required, with opportunities to learn under the supervision of a licensed dentist and contribute to a perfect patient experience.

Qualifications

• No prior dental experience is required.
• Customer services experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform basic dental assisting under direct supervision of the licensed dentist.
• Actively participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by helping patients feel comfortable and attended to.
• Learn infection control procedures for sterilization and operatory cleaning to ensure safety.
• Complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures as directed after radiation safety requirements are met.
• Prepare for patient care procedures and provide basic chairside support.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care as directed by the dentist.
• Record patient charting and treatment notes in the digital chart as directed by the dentist.
• Present treatment records, consents and health history to the dentist prior to treatment.
• Maintain compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.).
