Job summary

System Soft Technologies seeks an entry-level Database Engineer in the Greater Philadelphia area. The role blends database and systems engineering to deliver high performance, reliability, and scalability for applications and distributed systems.

The ideal candidate has a CS-related degree and 1–3 years of database engineering or systems experience with complex SQL and Python scripting. Onsite work is required with relocation options available; US or Green Card only.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Information Systems or related field.
• 1-3 years of database or systems engineering experience including designing, maintaining, or owning database infrastructure.
• Proficient in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries (JOINs, WHERE clauses, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE) with knowledge of indexing, partitioning, replication, and high-availability architectures.
• Solid Python development skills—able to write production-quality scripts and tooling.
• Good understanding of Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
• Linux fundamentals—shell scripting, process management, system monitoring.
