Role: Entry-Level Database Administrator

Starting Salary: $50 - $55K / year

Employment Type: Full Time / Exempt

Location: Atlanta, GA

Job Functions
  • Maintaining existing databases and creating new ones in compliance with the latest information technologies and cyber security.
  • Test databases and analyze reports, audit logs, and forensics to determine if any data breaches or security issues.
  • Add users to the database as needed and assign them the appropriate level of access.
  • Manage incidents, make executive decisions and be able to carry them out in high-stress situations.
  • Define and implement automation that will alert you of performance or integrity issues.
  • Design and implement a strategy for backing up, archiving, and storing data to back up the database in the event the system is compromised.
Preferred Qualifications
  • The ability to make a solid, passionate investment in the production of a database.
  • Have a genuine interest in technology to keep up with the latest updates, enabling you to be confident in your decisions.
  • Be able to utilize productivity tools to use time efficiently and prioritize or automate tasks.
  • Able to perform tasks that require strong attention to detail and include multiple steps.
  • Communicate your views, instructions, and/or guidance confidently and clearly in high‑pressure circumstances.
Nice-to-Have (But not required)
  • A degree or certification in Computer Science, Database Administration, or any other applicable field.
  • Familiarity with database design, documentation, coding, programming languages (API), and Database Administrator case tools (frontend/backend), knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, ext.
