MeeBoss is seeking a Database Infrastructure engineer in the Atlanta area to design, maintain, and optimize core database environments. The role emphasizes automation, scheduling, and scalable infrastructure to ensure uptime and performance.

You will automate DBA tasks with PowerShell/SSIS, monitor system health, and implement robust HA/DR strategies while collaborating with IT teams on security and performance best practices.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• Advanced MS SQL Server, Windows Server, and Azure Cloud environment expertise.
• Advanced PowerShell and SSIS scripting for automation.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and .NET apps.
• Relevant database certifications recommended (Azure DB, SQL Server).

• Scripting & Automation: Write robust scripts (PowerShell, SSIS) for routine DBA tasks and backups.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor performance, optimize queries, and manage indexing.
• High Availability & DR: Maintain DR strategies and perform failover testing; provide 24/7 support as needed.

JOB SUMMARY

Supervises the coordination of design and security for computer databases to store, track, and maintain a large volume of critical business information.

MUST BE LOCAL TO METRO ATLANTA

We are seeking a skilled Database Infrastructure engineer to design, maintain, and optimize our core database environments. In this role, you will be the guardian of our data ecosystem, focusing heavily on automation, scheduling management, and infrastructure scaling. You will leverage scripting languages to automate routine maintenance, monitor system health, and orchestrate complex database jobs to ensure maximum uptime and peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Design, configure, provision, and manage hardware and software configurations (Azure Cloud services and Windows Servers). Ensure compliance with data governance and State data privacy regulations and manage user permissions.
• Automated Job Management: Design, implement, and monitor automated database jobs, maintenance tasks, and ETL workflows.
• Scripting & Automation: Write and maintain robust scripts (SSIS, PowerShell, etc.) to automate routine DBA tasks, deployments, backups, and health checks.
• Performance Tuning: Proactively monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, optimize queries, and manage indexing strategies. Ability to resolve hardware, software and network issues.
• High Availability & DR: Maintain and test robust disaster recovery (DR) strategies, and failover testing. Provide 24/7 support for mission-critical systems as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams: Support application development and data integration through application environment configuration, IIS administration, and implementation of security and performance best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in managing enterprise systems (e.g., MS SQL Server, Windows Server, and Azure Cloud environment).
• Advanced knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell and SSIS for automation.
• Solid understanding of storage systems, network architecture, and cloud infrastructure (i.e. Azure).
• Excellent troubleshooting skills under pressure for critical production incidents.
• Certifications in relevant database technologies (e.g., Azure Database Administrator).
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with PowerApps, Power BI Services, Power Automate.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps processes and .NET applications.

Work Environment

• Hybrid work arrangement.
• Candidate MUST be local to Metro Atlanta.
• May require 24/7 support for mission-critical systems as needed.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Strong expertise managing MS SQL Server, Windows Server, and Azure Cloud environments.
• Advanced PowerShell and SSIS scripting experience.
• Experience with PowerApps, Power BI Services, and Power Automate.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps processes, and .NET applications.
• Relevant Microsoft/Azure database certifications required
