BetterHelp is an online counseling platform that connects its members to licensed therapists. As a Data Scientist, you will analyze large data sets to drive insights for product and business improvements, collaborate with teams to define metrics, and monitor performance metrics to support strategic decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Get insight from an enormous amount of data, and take a proactive role partnering with the product team in identifying and exploring data-driven ideas for improving our products

• Collaborate with the product and development teams to define metrics, evaluate performance, and support data-informed decision-making

• Monitor key business and product metrics, share actionable insights, and help drive strategy and prioritization

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in a data science role or relevant internships, ideally applying analytical skills to real-world problems

• Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Math, Economics, or Operations Research

• Experience working with data from web or product environments

• Proficiency in SQL

• Hands-on experience with data analysis and statistical methods through work, internships, or academic projects

• Strong grasp of core analytical concepts and ability to apply them to ambiguous problems

• Clear and thoughtful communicator, with a desire to keep improving how complex ideas are shared across different audiences
