Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a Part-time Customer Supply Chain Support in Summerville, SC. The role offers up to 28 hours per week with shifts typically 7:00am–5:00pm, Monday through Friday, at the 1072 Business Park Rd location.

This entry-level position focuses on building experience in customer relationship management and operations while offering potential schedule flexibility after onboarding. Responsibilities include responding to customer requests, managing inventory, placing and fulfilling

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old
• Pursuing or having degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management or equivalent industry experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Strong math aptitude and attention to detail
• Self-motivated, customer service oriented and proactive
• Able to work in a sales-oriented environment
• Lift/carry weights up to 75 lbs as needed

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests and coordinate resources
• Manage inventory within the customer facility
• Place and fulfill orders
• Receive and ship inventory
• Perform inventory fulfillment tasks
• Source and quote products for customers
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Monetize and report value of supply chain activities to the customer
