Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Lafayette, IN is seeking an entry-level Customer Site Warehouse Support to move products through the customer site, audit outgoing shipments, and support daily warehouse operations at 3000 Main St, Lafayette.

Excellent teamwork and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential. Candidates should be able to work independently, be flexible with schedules, and comply with safety rules. Forklift experience and a valid driver’s license are preferred qualifications.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
• Work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed.

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

Responsibilities

• Operating computer programs and wireless hand held devices.
• Moving and handling product accurately.
• Auditing and preparing outgoing shipments to customer facilities.
• Maintain the cleanliness/organization of work area.
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations.
• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives.
• Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings
