Job summary

Horizon Behavioral Health is seeking a Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) to serve as a role model and coach, helping individuals achieve wellness and long-term recovery using lived experience and best practices.

This entry-level role requires completing training and supervision hours within one year of hire, with some evening and weekend hours and potential travel to Horizon worksites; driving may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• At least one year of lived recovery experience with mental health or substance use.
• Experience in a recovery program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one peer mentoring and support groups.
• Assist clients in accessing community resources and services.
• Engage in outreach by phone and in person; some evenings and weekends.
