Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Prefer three years of experience in the criminal justice field; will train those with applicable skills in related fields.
• High school diploma or GED required; college degree desired.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inmate population at all times, including meals, work, visitation, and furloughs.
• Ensure the safety and welfare of inmates, staff, and visitors.
• Conduct daily inspections of housing areas.
• Record and report maintenance problems through weekly inspections.
• Clock in and out using the company time and attendance system.
• Sign inmates out to work and furloughs, documenting all necessary forms.
• Maintain all daily, weekly, monthly log books and required documentation.
• Conduct intake on all new inmates.
• Attend all staff meetings when requested.
• Report all safety breaches and policy violations to supervisor or Facility Director.
