Job summary

Bridges-of-America-the-Lake-City-Br is seeking a responsible supervisor to oversee inmate populations in Florida. The role requires supervision during meals, work periods, visitation, and furloughs, with emphasis on safety for inmates, staff, and visitors.

Daily housing area inspections and timely reporting of maintenance issues are essential. The candidate should have at least three years in the criminal justice field or related experience, and a high school diploma with college degree

Qualifications

Prefer three years of experience in the criminal justice field; will train those with applicable skills in related fields.
High school degree, college degree desired.
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
Must be able to perform the major functions of the job with or without an accommodation.

Responsibilities

Supervise inmate population at all times including meals, work periods, visitation and furloughs.
Ensure safety and welfare of inmates, staff and visitors.
Conduct daily inspections of housing areas.
Record and report maintenance problems through weekly inspections.
Conduct all necessary counts and intake on new inmates.
Clock in/out using time and attendance system.
Attend mandatory training and staff meetings as requested.
Maintain daily, weekly, monthly log books and documentation.
