Job summary

Smart Building Technologies is seeking an early-career Controls Technician to support installation, troubleshooting, and service of building automation systems. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of experience in HVAC controls, electrical troubleshooting, BAS, or a related technical field!

You'll provide expert service to EMS/BAS systems, participate in service installation projects, and conduct preventive maintenance visits to keep systems operating flawlessly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in an industry-related field, including HVAC Systems and DDC Systems.
• Deep understanding of BAS control components, control strategies, and programming.
• Tridium Certification and Distech experience would be a plus, but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert service to EMS/BAS systems for optimal performance.
• Assist service installation projects, from sensor/relay upgrades to programming tweaks and controller replacements.
• Conduct preventive maintenance visits to safeguard systems and ensure flawless operation.
• Partner with the service team to troubleshoot and verify issues for seamless operations.
• Develop programming skills to become a self-sufficient service expert, even without remote support.

• Dive into service installation projects, from sensor and relay upgrades to programming tweaks and controller replacements, always pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
• Conduct proactive preventive maintenance visits, safeguarding our systems and ensuring they operate flawlessly.
• Partner with our service team to troubleshoot, resolve, and verify service issues, ensuring seamless operations.
• Hone your programming skills to become a self-sufficient service guru, ready to handle any challenge, even when remote support isn't available.

What we hope you bring to the table:

• Experience: 2+ years in an industry-related field, including HVAC Systems and DDC Systems
• Know-How: Deep understanding of BAS control components, control strategies, and programming.
