Job summary

KNAPP North America in Kennesaw, GA seeks a field technician to independently prepare projects and install/commission subsystems at customer sites. Travel will be 60–80% with mandatory initial training in Kennesaw, GA.

You will work with electrical cabinets, ensure safety compliance, support customers, and assist in developing new products. A strong mechanical/electrical background and basic Linux/programming skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic Linux skills and programming basics are expected.
• Proficiency in Python, Java and C++ at a functional level.
• Familiarity with networking concepts and hardware understanding.
• Strong mechanical and electrical system comprehension.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare projects.
• Create, maintain, and improve commissioning documentation.
• Prepare and execute factory tests.
• Provide support to customers and other commissioners.
• Test and verify electrical control cabinets on-site.
• Ensure safety guidelines and regulations are followed.
• Verify and accept pre-assembled subsystems.
• Manage daily work processes at the jobsite.
• Install, configure, and commission subsystems on-site.
• Provide electrical support and installation on-site.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
• Train customer and maintenance teams.
• Update electrical schematics based on final installation.
• Support development of new products when applicable.
• Support hotline on-site and remote support to customers.
• Ensure safety requirements at the jobsite.
• Coordinate daily duties with customer and internal departments.
• Provide feedback for improvements.
