Job summary

AECOM Hunt is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to join our Arlington, TX team. The role involves supervising craft activities, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring safety and quality on site while liaising with the project team and clients.

You will utilize document control systems and construction management software, supporting large, complex projects and following established field policies. A degree in construction-related fields and internship or prior experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Building Technology, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting large complex projects.
• Applicable OSHA certifications preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Bluebeam, AutoCAD/Revit and construction management software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing activities of construction crafts/trades within an assigned area of responsibility.
• Receive supervision and direction in performance of responsibilities.
• Obtain technical and operational direction from the Superintendent or Project Manager.
• Assist with planning and coordination of subcontractor activities.
• Monitor subcontractor personnel to ensure adherence to project plans and quality standards.
• Enforce policies and procedures established by Field Management.
• Assist with safety program compliance on the jobsite.
• Work with document control systems to keep information flow up-to-date (RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes).
• Interface with client, architect, and design professionals to ensure design intent compliance.
• Contribute to clear communication between field management, project management, subcontractors, vendors, and specialty contractors.
• Continuously expand and update professional knowledge and training to boost team productivity.
