Job summary

DRMP is seeking a Junior Inspector for Construction Services (CEI) in Columbia, SC. This hourly, full-time role offers hands-on training and a clear path to CEI qualifications.

You’ll work with experienced inspectors, document daily activities, and support field testing while pursuing required certifications. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to learn and work as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record is required.
• Willingness to learn and work collaboratively is essential.
• Ability to handle physical demands of field work is required.

Responsibilities

• Document daily contractor work and construction progress.
• Record material quantities and support higher-level inspectors.
• Collect and prepare material samples for lab testing.
• Measure and verify construction dimensions for accuracy.
• Observe work in progress to ensure specifications.
• Review finished installations for quality and workmanship.
• Assist with project closeout documentation.
