LiRo-Hill seeks an Entry Level Construction Engineer for Nassau County, NY, to support major NCDPW projects. You will assist with construction inspection, document progress, and coordinate with clients and contractors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Knowledge of concrete and asphalt pavement materials and construction methods preferred.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with clients, designers, contractors and field staff.
• Able to work nights and travel as needed.
• US work authorization and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Our Resident Engineer Inspection division is seeking entry level engineers for major NCDPW (Nassau County Department of Public Works) projects throughout Naussau County, NY.

• Responsible for construction inspection of major roadway rehabilitation projects


• Monitor and track project schedule and budget


• Interface with clients/agencies and contractors


• Track work progess through daily field reports and photographs

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

• Extensive experience with MS Office Suite applications, particularly Word and Excel


• Strong oral and written communication skills


• Strong organizational and communication skills


• Able to collaborate/coordinate with clients, designers, contractors, and field staff


• Ability to work nights


• Authorized to work in the United States and maintains current Driver’s License.

- We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, a comprehensive benefits package and a positive work environment.

- Compensation: Min: $70k - Max: $80k. The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined based on the individual candidate's qualifications and location.
