Job summary

Construction Material Testing is hiring field technicians to sample and test fresh concrete on active jobsites across the region. You will perform slump, air and temperature tests, cast cylinders, and verify soils with a nuclear density gauge, documenting results the same day.

No prior experience is required; the company provides structured field training and sponsors ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge certifications as you progress toward NICET Level I/II.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work outdoors in variable weather.
• No experience required; company trains and sponsors certifications.
• Reliability, attention to detail, and coachability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
