Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample fresh concrete, run slump, air, and temperature tests, and cast cylinders while documenting results the same day. The role includes field density work, moisture testing, and site reporting across Texas locations.

You will verify soil compaction with a nuclear density gauge and communicate findings to superintendents on the spot. We provide training and sponsor certifications as you progress.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Comfortable outdoors in heat and weather conditions.
• Willingness to learn and be coached; certifications sponsored.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938 and document results.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations; maintain gauge calibration.
• Communicate results to superintendents on site and ensure accuracy.
