Job summary

Applied Composites is hiring a Composite Lamination Technician 1 in Indianapolis, IN. This entry-level role involves placing prepregs, laminating plies, and preparing parts for autoclave transfer. You will follow instructions, use shop math for weights and timings, and maintain quality throughout the layup process.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience. Training is available, with expected 2nd shift and overtime.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of one year experience in composites or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow basic instructions and diagrams in English.
• Record information using basic shop math (weights, times).
• Prepare molds with release agents and layup materials.
• Lay up materials to molds, remove air pockets, and ensure correct ply orientation.
• Trim materials and check for quality against specs.
• Vacuum bag parts and ensure bags do not leak during cure.
• Support autoclave prep and related processes.
• Train to advance and be willing to work 2nd shift and overtime.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
