Job summary

ECS Group of Companies (ECS) is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician for the Fort Myers team. The role is primarily field-based, collecting data, documenting site conditions, and assisting with testing activities under direct supervision.

No experience is required; paid training is provided, and certification fees are covered. The position offers exposure to soil, aggregate, and concrete testing while developing core technical skills and customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Performs field observations, testing, and sampling of soil, aggregates, and concrete under supervision
• Assists with construction materials testing activities on project sites
• Communicates daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers
• Reports changing site conditions and additional testing needs to supervisors
• Assists with the preparation and submission of daily field reports
• Supports basic calculations and data entry related to testing results
• Assists in organizing and maintaining field equipment
• Notifies supervisors of damaged or missing equipment
• Participates in project meetings with senior staff as requested
• Performs other field and project support duties as assigned
