Qualifications

  • Obtain basic certifications applicable to the work as per ECS Technician Certification Policy.
  • If driving for or on behalf of ECS, a valid driver's license is required.
  • Good communication skills (verbal, written, reading comprehension).
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented work ethic.
  • Basic math skills and data entry ability.
  • Ability to read maps, follow directions, and interpret plans (developing).
  • Basic proficiency with tablets, phones, and laptops.
  • Ability to lift equipment up to ~85 lbs.
  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and follow all local/state laws.
  • Military qualifications: E-4 will qualify if education/licenses meet requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Performs field observation, testing, and sampling of soil, aggregates, and concrete under supervision.
  • Assists with construction materials testing activities on project sites.
  • Communicates daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers.
  • Reports changing site conditions and additional testing needs to supervisors.
  • Assists with preparation and submission of daily field reports.
  • Supports basic calculations and data entry related to testing results.
  • Assists in organizing and maintaining field equipment.
  • Notifies supervisors of damaged or missing equipment.
  • Participates in project meetings with senior staff as requested.
  • Performs other field and project support duties as assigned.
