Job summary

RM Motorsports in Wixom, Michigan, is seeking an entry-level mechanic to join our classic street car service team. You’ll work with experienced mechanics on oil changes, tune-ups, repairs, and restorations.

We provide on-the-job training and healthcare benefits in a full-time Wixom shop with no travel. You’ll diagnose mechanical issues, perform routine maintenance on engines, brakes, suspension, steering, and drivetrain, assist with restorations, and help fabricate or modify parts as needed,

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical skills and familiarity with basic automotive systems and shop tools.
• Dependability, attention to detail, and a willingness to ask questions and learn.
• Recent degree or training from an automotive or related technical school program preferred.

RM Motorsports is looking for an entry-level mechanic to join our classic street car service team in Wixom, Michigan. About the Company

RM Motorsports operates from a 26,000-square-foot facility in Wixom, Michigan, with a machine shop, paint booth, hoists, showroom/library with an extensive technical and historical reference materials. We typically have more than 30 vehicles, this includes Classic Cars, Hot Rods, Modern Sports Cars, as well as the various racecars we are constantly working on. The street cars may be a simple tune-up, brake adjustment, valve adjustment, to a full exhaust or fuel tank replacement. Customers come to us with cars in various stages of completion, wanting final assembly or a ground-up restoration. Our first complete restoration was a 1954 Ferrari in 1989, our most current was completed at the end of 2025, a 1957 Mercedes 300SL.
