Job summary

NIS Express is hiring entry-level Class A CDL drivers for a paid trainee program in Bessemer, AL. If you have completed 120+ hours at an accredited CDL school, you qualify for our one-on-one training with a dedicated trainer from day one.

You will operate dry van freight with no-touch loads, earn weekly pay, and receive benefits after 30 days, plus 401(k) with company match and paid holidays. No prior over-the-road experience required.

Qualifications

• Must have completed 120+ hours at an accredited CDL school.
• Valid Class A CDL license.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen.
• Clean driving record with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and comply with DOT.
• Transport no-touch dry van freight with 70% drop and hook.
• Meet delivery appointments and maintain on-time performance.
• Keep accurate ELD logs and trip reports.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers.
