Job summary

Tetra Tech in Englewood, CO is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to join our in-office team. You will support civil design for midstream projects under supervision and receive training to quickly contribute to the design team.

Qualified candidates have a B.S. in Civil Engineering, FE exam progress, CAD/Civil 3D skills, and a willingness to pursue licensure; travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program; 0–5 years of relevant experience.
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE).
• Licensed Professional Engineer Civil (PE Civil) preferred.
• Ability and desire to sit for the 8-hour NCEES PE exam if not licensed.
• Familiar with CAD standards, linetypes, layers, Civil 3D pipe networks, pipe parts, surface styles, label styles, general notes.
• Proficient with CAD Civil 3D software and assembling plans and reports in a logical order.
• Knowledge of Midstream Oil & Gas industry (crude oil, refined products, CO2, NGL, gas) preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Provide civil engineering design support for pipeline, pump/compressor, and terminal/tank projects nationwide.
• Work with a multi-disciplinary project team under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.
• Training will allow our civil engineers to quickly become active members of the design team.
• Typical tasks include site grading, road design, culvert sizing, balancing cut and fill, drainage analysis and design.
