Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides.
• Familiarity with construction practices and constructability principles.

Responsibilities

• Develops familiarity by reading and applying department design guides and standards.
• Coordinates with multidisciplinary teams to support design and construction of grading, stormwater, erosion control, culvert, pavement design.
• Participates in project coordination meetings and resolves design challenges with client requirements.
• Performs routine research and develops recommendations for equipment and materials selection.
• Prepares basic engineering calculations following standard methods.
• Assists with development of project schedules, cost estimates and deliverables.
• Focuses on internal client needs while learning external client drivers.
• Develops and applies knowledge of engineering software and digital delivery methods.
