Job summary

Prairie Engineers, P.C. is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our growing team across multiple Illinois offices.

This role focuses on planning, design, and construction phase services for diverse projects while collaborating with surveyors, engineers, environmental scientists, and CAD technicians. Ideal candidates hold an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree, with interest in transportation or water resources, and are prepared to travel nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Willingness to travel within the United States to meet project requirements.
• Valid driver's license.
• Current licensure as an Engineer Intern or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.

What you Need:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Primary Interest: Transportation or water resources engineering.
• Travel: Willingness to travel within the United States to meet project requirements.
• Safety: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Licensure: Current licensure as an Engineer Intern or the ability to obtain with the first 6 months of employment.

• Planning, design, and construction phase services for a variety of projects and client types.
• Coordinate staff activities with surveyors, engineers, environmental scientists, and CADD technicians.

• Software: Experience in GIS, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D
• Experience: Previous experience or internships

Salary range: $62,000 - $85,000 determined by education, experience, licensure, and knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external benchmarking.
