Dewberry is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to join our Civil/Transportation Group in the New York City office. This role offers growth opportunities and exposure to a variety of projects, leveraging modern technology to solve client challenges.

Ideal for new graduates with a Civil Engineering degree and an interest in transportation engineering, you will work within a collaborative team environment and gain hands-on experience across project types.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Transportation emphasis).
• 0-2 years of experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience using CADD: MicroStation or AutoCAD.
• InRoads or Civil 3D experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office; teamwork-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team in transportation engineering design, including horizontal/vertical alignments and drainage.
• Develop maintenance and protection of traffic schemes and prepare contract plans for various project types.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
• Support senior staff in project tasks and documentation.

Responsibilities

The individual will work as part of a team in all facets of transportation engineering including design of horizontal and vertical alignments, drainage systems, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, development of maintenance and protection of traffic schemes, and preparation of contract plans for a variety of project types and clients.

Required Skills & Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (with emphasis in Transportation)
• 0-2 years experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience using CADD (MicroStation or AutoCAD)
• Experience with InRoads or Civil 3D a plus

• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) is preferred

The projected range for this position is $84,000 - $86,500 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
