S&M E in Charlotte, NC is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to join our Civil/Energy team. You will gain hands-on experience and mentorship while contributing to infrastructure projects across energy, industrial, and government sectors.

You’ll participate in conceptual design, engineering analysis, and cost estimation, learning from Professional Engineers and collaborating with clients and teams to deliver practical, innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 0-2 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design projects.
• Aspiration to take the Professional Engineer (P.E.) exam within 4-5 years.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and stormwater/utility modeling software is a plus.

S&M E is looking for an eager and dedicated full-time entry-level Civil Engineer to join our Civil/Energy team in Charlotte, North Carolina.

As an entry-level Civil Engineer, you'll gain hands‑on experience and personalized mentorship from Professional Engineers while working on impactful infrastructure projects across the Energy, Industrial, and Government sectors, including pipelines, renewable energy facilities, water resources, and more. You will participate in conceptual design, engineering analysis, detailed calculations, and cost estimation.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Learn from Experienced Mentors - Work alongside Professional Engineers who will guide your technical growth and career development.
• Contribute to Meaningful Projects - Support the planning and design of real‑world infrastructure like utility systems, landfills, dams, and stream restoration efforts.

What You Bring:
