Job summary

Primera Engineers in Chicago, IL seeks an entry to mid-level Civil Engineer to work on transportation and municipal construction projects. You will prepare calculations, assist with reports, plans, specs, and permit applications, and coordinate with clients and team members.

You'll work under a Lead Engineer, applying standard techniques and gaining experience in project documentation, daily reports, and coordination. Strong communication and proficiency in Excel/Word are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management.
• Zero to five years of construction experience expected.
• Familiarity with IDOT procedures and certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist on construction projects and provide inspection support.
• Lead in preparing and coordinating reports, plans, specifications, and permit applications.
• Maintain project documentation, calculations, daily reports, and filing.
• Interface directly with clients, consultants, subconsultants, and contractors.
