Job summary

Army NAF (NAF) – Child and Youth Services is seeking staff to provide developmentally appropriate care for children from 6 weeks to 18 years. You will supervise activities, support curriculum-based programming, and help with meals in a dynamic environment.

Applicants must be 18+, hold a HS diploma or GED, and pass background checks, E-Verify, and immunization requirements. Occasional evenings, weekends, and field trips may be required to support program operations.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Background checks required and immunization requirements to work with children.

Responsibilities

  • Provide appropriate developmental care and instruction for children aged 6 weeks to 18 years.
  • Supervise and account for whereabouts and safety during routines, activities, field trips and events.
  • Assist in implementing developmentally appropriate activities using prepared curricula and materials.
  • Assist with snacks or meals as part of daily routines.
  • Identify and respond to emergencies, including evacuations and medical needs.
