Job summary

Kelly Services invites applications for an entry-level Laboratory Technician I in Houston, TX. You will conduct hands-on benchtop and analytical testing to support client sales and product line management under the supervision of the laboratory manager.

The role focuses on energy and chemical industry applications, requiring an associate or bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field, or 1–3 years in a chemical lab. 8-hour weekdays with full benefits and direct hire opportunity.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor-level degree in Chemistry or related field, or 1–3 years in chemical/petrochemical industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; prior experience in a chemical/industrial lab or with oil and gas chemicals is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and complete routine project assignments under supervision.
• Process incoming materials for testing, including water, hydrocarbon, and rock samples.
• Operate laboratory equipment safely and adhere to SOPs.
• Utilize lab software, notebooks, and electronic formats to analyze, record, and report data.
• Document results clearly in standardized written reports.
• Handle, store, and dispose of chemicals and lab waste per safety procedures.
