Job summary

Eurofins Agroscience Services in Easton, MD seeks an Assistant Scientist to join the Chemistry team. This entry-level position includes comprehensive training and the opportunity to work with LC-UV, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS and related technologies.

Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, with potential overtime, and is based in Easton, MD, near the Chesapeake Bay. You’ll contribute to high-quality research for North America markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or pharmaceutical sciences.
• Laboratory experience required.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Recent graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Use a diverse range of analytical methods for investigation of a test substance in a test system.
• Perform laboratory tasks including balances, measuring volumes, pH adjustment, sample processing, microbial analysis, TOC measurement, and data recording.
• Perform calculations for analytical chemistry including stock/standard solutions and quantitation.
• Carry out sample extraction and cleanup using SPE and QuEChERS for water, soil, and tissues.
• Operate LC-UV, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS and GC-MS/MS instruments and interpret data.
• Document work performed in laboratory notebooks and SOPs, and maintain traceable records.
• Maintain study raw data binders and assist with data summaries and draft reports.
