INEOS Styrolution in Decatur, Alabama is seeking a Chemical Process Technician Entry to join our operations team. You will learn and perform production unit responsibilities, loading hopper cars and trucks, starting and stopping reactors, and monitoring process performance with a focus on safety and quality.

This entry-level role requires a high school diploma, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts indoors and outdoors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required.
• College, college level, or technical certification preferred.
• Chemical or manufacturing plant experience required.
• Ability to learn process, procedures, and equipment.
• Functional in computers, email, and software related to role.

Responsibilities

• Perform production unit responsibilities to achieve scheduled production and daily activities.
• Load hopper cars and trucks.
• Perform rail switches.
• Unload MMA and Mineral Oil trucks and railcars.
• Operate equipment (bins/transfer systems, shuttle wagon, forklift).
• Assist in equipment maintenance, permit management, lockout, and system preparations.
• Assist in startup/shutdown of reactors and systems.
• Perform minor maintenance.
• Monitor process performance and respond accordingly.
• Maintain detailed written records and logs.
