Job summary

Dow Jones - Energy seeks a Research Analyst I to support the Chemical Market Analytics group in publishing market reports, client and conference presentations, and related project work. You will collaborate with international experts and provide data and training on CMA websites and databases.

You will update graphs and Excel-based models, edit reports, create PowerPoint materials for client meetings, and gather external data for market analysis.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years’ related experience.
• Degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, natural science (preferred) or related discipline - OR - equivalent work experience.
• Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel; Power BI and/or Python knowledge or experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain graphs, tables, Excel-based models and databases.
• Edit and publish market reports from CMS to website.
• Conduct research and collect data from industry associations and other data providers.
• Assist with maintenance of the chemical capacity database.
• Fulfill data requests and answer questions from clients.
• Create/update Excel graphs and tables for weekly/monthly market reports.
• Proof-read and format text written for market reports.
• Create presentation materials in PowerPoint for client meetings.
• Prepare materials for product expert travel.
• Gather and maintain data from external sources for market analysis.
