Performance Foodservice is seeking an entry-level Delivery Driver Trainee with a CDL A license. Start pay is $27.00/hr with potential to earn about $80,000 annually through component pay.

The role trains on hauling freight and delivering to customers, while building relationships and ensuring items arrive on time. The schedule features a rotating 4-day workweek (Mon–Fri) with occasional 5th day; typical days run 10–12 hours.

Qualifications

• CDL A license is required.
• Must be 21 years or older and meet state licensing requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years; pass post-offer drug test; pass road test.
• Attains or has valid DOT Health Card or ability to obtain one.
• Able to lift and move freight up to 60–90 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely delivers customer orders on assigned route.
• Performs pre/post-trip inspections and DOT-compliant checks.
• Interacts with customers and vendors professionally to ensure accurate delivery.
• Completes required paperwork and validates invoices for freight.
