Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a Carpenter Apprentice in Austin, TX to learn and assist with general carpentry tasks under close supervision. You will support carpenters with material handling, preparation, and basic construction activities while building foundational safety and technical skills.

High School Diploma or GED is required, with 0-2 years of carpentry experience. OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification must be obtained within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparing materials, tools, and work areas for carpentry tasks.
• Supports experienced carpenters with measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and related materials.
• Observes and learns proper carpentry techniques and tool operation.
• Follows safety policies, PPE requirements, and DPR procedures at all times.
• Maintains clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout project activities.
• Participates in on-the-job and classroom training to build technical proficiency.
• Communicates effectively with team members and supervisors to support work progress.
