Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville is seeking an entry-level Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CIS) Clinician I to support the cath lab and EP lab teams. You will perform scrub and circulator roles, assist with imaging and device procedures, and grow skills under supervision in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical education program (CVT/EMT/Paramedic/Radiography/Health Sciences degree).
• Clinical patient care experience 2+ years preferred.
• American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS certification required; ACLS preparation encouraged per manager discretion.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized technologist roles within invasive cardiovascular procedures.
• Operate high-technology imaging equipment under physician supervision to assist with invasive procedures.
• Ensure imaging system safety and proper radiation protection under supervision.
• Assist lab team with management of critical care and complex patients.
• Demonstrate initiative for learning and development; contribute to department operations.
