Job summary

Kindred Hospital Northland is seeking a Telemetry Monitor/Technician to oversee cardiac rhythm patterns and operate telemetry equipment for admitted patients. You will review patient data to determine normal and abnormal rhythms and respond to alarms to ensure patient safety.

The role requires fluency in English, attention to detail, and the ability to manage telemetry setups. BLS is required; EKG certification is preferred, and no prior experience is required.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Satisfactory performance on EKG interpretation competency test.
• Ability to accurately identify cardiac rhythms and their significance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry of patients and observe for changes in cardiac rhythms.
• Record and maintain accurate telemetry patient data.
• Notify RN or supervisor of rhythm changes promptly.
• Assign transmitters and wires and set up monitor system for all telemetry patients.
• Troubleshoot transmitters and wires and monitor system as needed.
• Stay compliant with federal, state, and local food safety and sanitation regulations.
