Job summary

UPMC Shadyside is hiring a Full-Time Cardiac Technician I to support the Centralized Telemetry Unit. You will edit EKGs, perform a range of cardiac tests, and monitor patient data using MUSE and related systems. The role is entry-level with day/night 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, data entry, and adherence to safety regulations. BLS/CPR and course completion are preferred; hospital experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months experience in a medical related field preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays and on-call.
• Basic typing and computer skills required.
• Transcription skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Edit EKGs in the ECG Computerized System (MUSE) after physician review.
• Utilize all computer systems (MUSE, TDS) for testing data, results, reporting and billing.
• Perform cardiac testing including EKGs, rhythm strips, Stress testing, and Holter monitoring per protocol.
