Job description

Our client is seeking an Engineering Technologist to join their team in Raleigh, NC. This is an entry-level position with comprehensive training provided. The role involves working on major projects related to distribution design, primarily in an office setting, with some potential fieldwork. The ideal candidate is eager to learn and grow within the company.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Providing technical expertise to evaluate options and design safe, cost-effective, and reliable distribution facilities for roadway, highway, and large-scale lighting projects.
  2. Learning company and client policies for developing site designs for electrical distribution facilities.
  3. Preparing site drawings and construction sketches for electrical installations, focusing on safety and reliability.
  4. Creating project or job packages, including material estimates and requisitions for electrical designs.
Must Haves:
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, GIS, Math, Construction, or related field.
  • Ability to work 40 hours/week onsite.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software.

  • Utility and electrical distribution experience.
