Job summary

Data Cloud Merge, a Jersey City-based IT services company, is seeking a Business Analyst to join our structured Waterfall environment. You will create and maintain business requirements, process flows, use cases, and gap analyses, and help define project scope.

You will facilitate JAD sessions, develop BRD and FRD documents, and configure new JIRA projects, collaborating with departments to ensure alignment with business needs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all SDLC phases, including requirements gathering, documenting, and testing.
• Ability to quickly learn new business and technical concepts in a fast-paced service-focused environment.
• Strong analytical reasoning, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
• Experience creating BRD/FRD and conducting GAP analyses.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain business requirements, process flows, use cases, and gap analysis in a Waterfall environment.
• Create a BRD, FRD, analyze data/workflows and define the scope.
• Participate in Gap Analysis to identify deficiencies and changes.
• Conduct JAD sessions to develop a business solution that meets requirements, resolves issues, and changes requirements.
• Create and configure new JIRA projects and coordinate with departments to maintain existing JIRA projects.

Job Description

• Create and maintain business requirements, process flows, use cases, and gap analysis in a Waterfall environment.
• Create a Business Requirements Document (BRD), Functional Requirements Document (FRD), analyze data/workflows and define the scope.
• Participate in Gap Analysis to identify the current system’s deficiencies and the requirements for the changes in the proposed system.
• Conduct JAD sessions to develop a business solution that application meets business requirements, resolve open issues, and change requirements.
• Create and configure new JIRA projects and worked with departments to maintain existing JIRA projects.

Qualifications

• Master’s/Bachelor’s in Science, Engineering, Information Management, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of all SDLC phases, including requirements gathering, documenting, and testing.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new business and technical concepts in a fast-paced service-focused environment.
• Excellent analytical reasoning, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
