Jacobs is seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer with an interest in HVAC, Utilities, Plumbing, and Fire Protection to join our team. You’ll apply theoretical knowledge to real-world projects across the country, collaborating with a technical team on design calculations and multi-trade coordination.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering, can obtain an EIT within 6 months, and may have Revit proficiency.

Your impact

We’re seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer with an interest in HVAC, Utilities, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Systems to join our team across the country. You’ll have the opportunity to use your theoretical knowledge and apply it to solving today’s challenges.

As part of our team, you’ll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients’ challenges locally and worldwide by providing a range of engineering services.

You’ll be responsible for providing system design calculations and other related design services including coordination with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering) under the guidance of Professional Engineers. You’ll use your skills and experience to help deliver and complete challenging and engaging projects. You’ll assist in the design of HVAC dry side, utility systems, building plumbing systems, and fire suppression while also helping develop the plans for the overall building safety.

You’ll also take ownership of the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the work assigned to you by demonstrating the ability to progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated and involved projects working in conjunction with a technical team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, r Fire Protection Engineering or closely related discipline
• Desire to design building mechanical systems, including HVAC and piping, for buildings and facilities.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Proficiency in Revit
• Prior work experience with a design firm in an internship or similar setting.

The base salary range for this position is $58,656.00 to $88,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
