Job summary

Peak Toolworks in Shreveport, LA is seeking an entry-level Brazer I / Machinist I to perform basic machining and brazing per engineering drawings and quality standards. You will operate machine tools, assemble components, braze, and inspect finished parts while maintaining a safe, efficient work environment.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, verifying dimensions with precision instruments, and maintaining 5S and lean practices on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, machining, metal fabrication, or brazing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform brazing of metal components and assemblies according to specifications.
• Set up and operate basic machine shop equipment (lathes, mills, drill presses, saws, grinders).
• Machine components to specified dimensions using appropriate tooling and measuring instruments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and process sheets.
• Prepare parts for brazing by cleaning, fitting, assembling, and positioning components.
• Inspect machined and brazed parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges.
