Job summary

Lonza in Portsmouth, NH, is seeking a Biotechnologist I (Manufacturing Associate I) to help produce life-saving therapeutic proteins in a regulated manufacturing environment. You will join a supportive team and gain valuable skills in pharmaceutical manufacturing while working a 12-hour day shift on a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities include setting up and monitoring production equipment (CIP/SIP), following SOPs, performing pH and conductivity tests, moving materials, and assisting with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; science degree preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or regulated environments; GMP experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor production equipment, including CIP and SIP processes.
• Execute manufacturing processes by following SOPs and good documentation practices.
• Perform laboratory tasks such as pH testing, conductivity testing, and product sampling.
• Move and transfer materials across production areas safely and accurately.
• Maintain equipment and facilities through routine cleaning and sanitization.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and support documentation review.
• Participate in shift handovers, meetings, and continuous improvement activities.
