Job summary

United Health Services (UHS) is seeking an entry-level Bio Medical Equipment Technician 1 to install, calibrate, and maintain a variety of medical devices at UHS Wilson Medical Center. The BMET 1 will help develop QA standards and act as a technical resource for hospital staff.

The role is day shift, 40 hours per week, with opportunities to grow, and preferred credentials include AAMI CBET and a bachelor’s in Biomedical/Electrical fields.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Bio Med or Electronics or equivalent field.
• 3 years of positive and advancing performance in Medical Equipment Repair preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical or Electrical engineering encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and preventive/corrective maintenance on medical devices.
• Develop QA standards and communicate status to department heads.
• Serve as technical resource for biomedical engineering teams.
